Unit 5 Week 5

May 16th

We are planning a field trip on May 16th.  We plan on going to Whiterocks Fish Hatchery.

The Whiterocks hatchery is two miles north of the town of Whiterocks in northeastern Utah. The hatchery produces rainbow, brown, brook and cutthroat trout, and kokanee salmon.

ABC Countdown

Here is a list of the rest of our ABC Countdown.  The activities that we are planning on until the end of the year are as follows.  (They are subject to change however)

Bring an item that you love to share with the class.

We will talk about mothers today.

May 10                N is for Nightclothes

Wear your pajamas.

May 11                O is for Orange Day

Wear orange today. You may also bring an orange to eat as a snack today.

May 12                P is for Pirate Day

Arrrgh!  We will be pirates today.

May 15                Q is for Quiet Day

Shhh—Bring your pillow to read quietly with

May 16                R is for Rockstar.

Dress like a rockstar.  We will talk about rocks today.

May 17                S is for Story Day

Bring in your favorite story to read with a buddy.

May 18                T is for Twin or Triplet Day

Dress like a friend or two.

May 19                U is USA Day

Celebrate the USA.  Wear red, white and blue.

May 22                V is Video Day

We will watch a video today.

May 23                W is for Water Day

We will work on different water activities.

May 24                X is for EXcellent Award Day

We will award each other today!

May 25                Y is for Year-end cleaning

Be ready to clean up our room today.

May 26                Z is Zoom into Summer Day

We will celebrate the last day of school.

Rock the Tests

We have end of the year testing coming up soon.  These are our guitars telling a goal that we each have to "Rock the Test." 
Here are some of the goals that we talked about:
I will stay focused. 
I will do my best. 
I will think about the answers.
I will read every answer twice before answering. 
I won't give up. 
I will take my time. 
I will be honest. 
I will stay calm.

I am so proud of the growth that these adorable students have made this year!

E and F Day

I didn't take pictures on E and F days.

For E day, I got together some Science Experiments for the students to watch.

For F day, we used our Class Flashlights to work by for part of our day.  We are very glad that electricity was invented.  It was very difficult to see the pictures of the book that I read to the class in the dark!

D is for Dinosaur

We each got a brand new dinosaur today, some dinosaur snacks, heard a dinosaur book, and watched Land Before Time #1 today!
